The right technology can help fashion retailers address critical inventory issues. This white paper explains how, by deploying RFID, retailers can achieve the real-time inventory visibility required to improve inventory management, and with very little effort. An employee equipped with a handheld RFID reader, for example, can take a complete inventory in minutes. Ordering can be improved through the 'right now' ability to see what is truly in stock; high levels of 'safety stock' can be reduced or eliminated; and quality assurance and counterfeit prevention can be significantly enhanced. This new level of inventory visibility can also improve loss prevention measures by providing an additional layer of intelligence to existing, proven technologies, such as Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS).
